Hey all we just wanted to let you know a little about how the GTA is run we are a nun for profit competition our intreats are in the development and growth of jiu jitsu by supporting the athletes that train so hard and make up the jiu jitsu family we are all apart of. We the organizers take %0 of the money made bye the GTA, we do how ever make money of the GTA but rather we putting it into our pockets we put %100 back into Jiu jitsu through prizes for stand out athletes by paying them to fly OS to train with the best in the world or to enter the highest level competitions such as pan ams or world championships. We are committed to supporting jiu jitsu and last year we sent 3 athletes OS this year we will be sending 5 athletes 2 women and 3 men. Along with this we have a tone of brands supporting this years GTA - AUSTRALIAN JIU JITSU CHAMPIONSHIPS Such as - TATAMI FIGHT WEAR - PROTEIN-N-MORE - MOSKOVA - ZEBRA MATS - GRAPPLING STORE.COM - FFA PAYSMART - POWER HOUSE SECURITY SERVICES - STATE NETBALL HOCKY CENTER Along with more brands keen to help out and support a great comp that puts back to a great art every day. We at the GTA would just like to say thanx to all that are supporting us and jiu jitsu in Australia. We would also like to thank all the people that support us from athletes, instructors, academies, spectators, Helpers, refs and every one that helps make the day run smooth and puts there time into the GTA. New Support for GTA events

Hey all,
So its been a long time coming but on 13, May 2012 the GTA- Australian Jiu Jitsu Championships will be held. this is shaping up to be one of the best events of the year, As most people Know by now the GTA Puts %100 of its profits back into jiu jitsu with amazing prizes such as sending people over to the US to train and compete also we offer prizes for place getters and this year is no exception, we have some new companies supporting GTA meaning that prize packs should be bigger and better then before.

1st we have MOSKOVA (underwear) jumping on board to help support jiu jitsu and the GTA
Moskova are a surf, jiu jitsu, lifestyle brand that supports some of the biggest surfing and jiu jitsu names in the business such as Kron Gracie and ricardo Aronna.

The GTA looks to already gaining momentum this year with a the organisers lining up a bunch of new sponcers for 2012 The buzz is that this will be the biggest events we GTA event - GTA AUSTRALIA JIU JITSU CHAMPIONSHIP with talk of fighters expected from all over Australia and even some coming from Overseas. GTA 2012 AUSTRALIAN JIU JITSU CHAMPIONSHIPS

BIG NEWS. After a great 2011 running our first events we have locking in our first event for 2012.

GTA is all about creating events FOR the competitors. Keeping this in mind and listening to the Jiu Jitsu community as a whole we have created very clear goals for our events.

1. To ensure the best possible competitions for the actual competitors. It is about the people who get on the mat to show u...s their Jits at the end of the day.

2. Put every cent we make back into the competitors/art by sending the stand outs overseas!

The result is GTA will be running only TWO events each year.

Our first event for 2012 will be the GTA AUSTRALIAN JIU JITSU CHAMPIONSHIPS - Sunday May 13th @ State Netball & Hockey Centre.

Standouts in each of the coloured belt division will earn sponsored trips to head to the US for a major tournament of their choosing as well as a training camp to help prepare!!!

It doesn't get much better than this :-D

Toward the end of the year we will be running the GTA AUSTRALIAN NO-GI JIU JITSU CHAMPIONSHIPS. The date for this event will be announced later in the year.
